Getting to the InnChanter

This season, InnChanter is located at Hotsprings Cove, 27 miles north of Tofino on the West Coast of Vancouver Island.

From Vancouver, drive north to Horseshoe Bay via Highway no. 1 (TransCanada Hwy.) and take a BC Ferry to Nanaimo (travel time 95 minutes).

Once off the ferry, you can drive or take the bus to Tofino by heading north on the Island Highway to the Port Alberni turnoff (Highway No. 4), then west through Pacific Rim National Park to the terminus of the Trans Canada Highway (travel time approximately 4 hours).

Once in Tofino, you have your choice of flying in a seaplane or boating with a water taxi north to InnChanter. Both methods of transportation can be booked at the government dock. By water, taxi travel time is approximately one hour, and by seaplane approximately 15 to 20 minutes, weather dependent.

Direct charter flights via floatplane from Vancouver to InnChanter can be booked through regional airlines. For a more scenic journey, take a whale watching tour which will drop you off at InnChanter .

What can you expect?

You are traveling to a wilderness location where weather and conditions can be unpredictable and are currently out of our control. Be prepared to stay an extra day if the weather is such that seaplanes or boats cannot travel safely. Just in case, bring an extra set of warm clothing and waterproof raingear and footwear.

All attempts are made to make your stay comfortable and safe. Please let us know well in advance of your arrival if you have any specific dietary restrictions, allergies or requests. The remoteness of our location tends to limit immediate access to exotic foodstuffs and menu modifications.

Space is limited. Should you have a specific travel time in mind, please book early to avoid disappointment.
